13 new cars sold in Co Louth in November
There were 13 new cars sold in Co Louth last month.
This was up 8.3% from November 2018 when there were 12 cars sold in the county.
This is the third consecutive month that sales for 2019 have outweighed those from 2018 following a 6.2% increase in September and 21.6% increase in October. The latest figures follow on from a fall in sales for 192 cars in July from 581 in 2018 to 526 this year, a decline of 9.5%, and a fall in August from 157 sales in 2018 to 96 in 2019 – a decline of 38.9%.
The biggest selling manufacturers in the county in November were Dacia and Renault with three sales apiece.
The biggest selling models were the Dacia Sandero and Renault Megane with two sales apiece.
The latest figures mean there have been 2,646 cars sold in Co Louth so far this year. This is 5.3% down on this time last year when there had been 2,794 cars sold in the first 11 months of the year.
The biggest selling manufacturer so far this year in Louth is Nissan with 316 units. This was followed by Volkswagen (287), Toyota (266), Renault (245) and Hyundai (233).
The most popular model of car sold in Louth so far this year is the Nissan Qashqai with 148 units. This was followed by the Peugeot 3008 (93), Toyota Corolla (91), Nissan Micra (90) and Hyundai Tucson (83).
