230 new homes built in Dundalk last year
There were 230 new homes built in Dundalk last year.
That’s according to a new report from the Central Statistics Office on New Dwelling Completions
The report found that there were 14,446 new dwellings completed across the country in 2017. Of these 63% were built across four counties: Dublin, Cork, Meath and Kildare.
In Louth there were 374. Broken down by Eircode region there were 230 in Dundalk and its environs and 400 in Drogheda and its region. As part of Drogheda is in Co Meath, not all of these were calculated in the county total.
Of the properties built in Louth 101 were single dwellings, 263 were in a scheme while 10 were apartments.
Louth was eighth in the list when it came to most properties completed last year.
