Average consumption of water falls 6.7% in Louth in 2016
The average consumption of water per meter per day dropped by 6.7% in Co Louth between 2015 and 2016.
That’s according to new figures published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) today.
The Domestic Metered Public Water Consumption report shows there was an average of 380.5 litres per meter per day consumed in the Wee County in 2016.
This was down from 408 litres per meter day in 2015.
This remains behind the national average of 351 litres, which was down 8.4% from 383 litres a year earlier.
November 2016 was the month when the least water was used with 345 litres per meter per day. The month with the highest usage in 2016 was May which had 363 litres per meter per day.
