Average rent in Louth has risen €111 in the last year

Rents in Co Louth have risen by 10.2% in the last year.

That’s according to the latest Daft.ie Rental Report.

The report shows that the average rent in Louth now stands at €1,197, up €111 on the same stage last year when the average rent stood at €1,086.

Rents are also €232 more expensive than where they stood at the height of the boom, an increase of 24%.

The average rent in the county is also up 96.2% from its lowest point having risen by a further 0.3% in the fourth quarter of last year.

The biggest increase was in relation to five bed homes which rose 14.1% in the last year to €1,382. The next biggest increase was for two bed homes which were up 9.9% to €992. A one bed apartment (€846) and 4 bed house (€1,260) have both risen by 7.3% in the last year while three bed houses were up 7.2% to an average of €1,155.
