Broken pot plants replanted in Carlingford

The pot plants destroyed by vandals in Carlingford on Wednesday night/Thursday morning were all replanted on Friday.

Great community spirit was shown as locals came together to put right an incident which local councillor Antóin Watters described as a “disgusting act of vandalism.”

According to Carlingford Tidy Towns new volunteers pitched in to help after a number of pot plants were overturned and destroyed.

Better still, those responsible have been identified.

The Tidy Towns’ group said: “Those who vandalised them were identified and will be making a donation to Carlingford Tidy Towns.”

They added: “Thank you to Gearoid from O’Neill’s Flowers who helped with the replanting. Onwards and upwards Carlingford!”
