Canadian sky dive organised in aid of local youngster Odhran Coburn Hearty
Local man David Grimes is set to undertake a sky dive in Canada in the coming weeks in aid of local youngster Odhran Coburn Hearty.
At the end of June the Bay Estate teenager went to a music festival in Belfast but took a turn resulting in him being hospitalised and fighting for his life.
David is a friend of the family who wanted to help but due to travels has had to use the internet to raise funds for the sky dive.
He told Talk of the Town: “As a friend of the family and not being back home in Dundalk, I wanted to do something special to help support them with the medical and rehabilitation costs of Odhran’s time in the hospital.
“So I’ve decided to do a Charity Sky Dive in Whistler, Vancouver, British Columbia at the end of August or early September to help raise funds.
I set up a Go Fund Me page and my friends of Facebook have helped by donating and sharing the link via social media.
“All funds raised will be contributed towards the medical and rehabilitation of Odhran.
“Any support you can give is greatly appreciated.”
