Castletown Belles confirm entry in DWSL summer league

Dundalk’s new ladies football club Castletown Belles FC have confirmed their participation in the Dublin Womens’ Soccer League Summer League.

This will be the first competitive event the new club has entered since being formed in January.

Fixtures for the summer league have yet to be released although it is understood that the first game will get underway in mid-May.

Andrew Gallagher is coaching the side while his father Niall, who was formerly involved with football in Castletown in the early 1990s and later with Dundalk City Ladies and Dundalk WFC, is the chairman.

Nicola Gorham is the captain for the new campaign with Fiona Farrell vice-captain.

Last month the club launched their new home and away kits in the Ramada Resort Hotel on the Armagh Road. It will be sponsored by The Irish Kidney Association, as well as DeJaVu Hair and Beauty on Francis Street. Meanwhile, Dealgan Coach Craft will sponsor the club’s training gear.

New members are still most welcome with further details available by emailing cbellesfc@gmail.com or by calling 087 4596772. A Facebook page can also be found here.
