Caution advised after heroin needles discovered in Ice House Hill Park
A local father has urged members of the public to be cautious after uncovering a number of heroin needles in Ice House Hill Park in Dundalk.
Pete Corbett said he was feeding the ducks in the park with his son after school when he came across the needles.
Pete said he came across “more than five” needless “without even looking”, as well as other items used to injected. He encouraged other park users to stay vigilant and stay safe.
Reacting to the find, former Dundalk Town Councillor Oliver Morgan said: “Thankfully the child didn’t touch it. Parents and children need to be really vigilant in this regard.
“The council need to think of a strategy to stop this kind of illegal activity,” he said.
