Christmas FM is funded by a number of sponsors and partners who underwrite the costs of operating the station each year which means that 100% of listener donations go to Christmas FM’s charity partner.
Since its launch in 2008, each year the station teams up with a charity to raise money and they have chosen Barretstown Camp as its partner this year.
Barretstown Camp provides residential camps and programmes for seriously ill children and their families and they also offer a range of activities.
Last year, the station raised a total of €404,551 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
This year they are aiming to raise funds which will go directly towards Barretstown’s mission of rebuilding the lives of seriously ill children and their families, through life-changing Therapeutic Programmes in a safe, fun and supported environment.
