Christmas to get underway in Dundalk with Frostival on November 23rd
Experience the magic of Christmas at Frostival Winter Festival on Friday 23th and Saturday 24th of November marking the start of the festive season in Dundalk Town Centre.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Carnival of Light’ and promises to be an awe-inspiring celebration of arts, culture and Christmas fun featuring beautifully lit floats, stilt and fire performers, an aerialist, dancers in breath-taking costumes and much much more.
Town Centre Commercial Manager, Martin Mc Elligott explained: “We are really excited about the addition of a Christmas parade in the Frostival programme. It will take place on the Friday evening weaving its way through the streets and illuminating the town centre.”
As part of the festive programme of events, there will be a Christmas Market, Family Fun Zone, Santa’s Grotto, Frostival Express Train and a Family Treasure Hunt at Market Square.
Martin continued: “We tailor make the festival around family entertainment and what’s even more important is that we are able to deliver a free event for the children. We invite you all to come out and support all we have to offer in the Town Centre on the 23rd and 24th of November, there really is something for everyone.
“This year’s event is made possible through the very kind and supportive sponsorship from Louth County Council, ourselves here in the BIDS office and our associate sponsor The Long Walk Shopping Centre,” said Martin.
