Countdown is on until Frostival 2019
This year’s Frostival Winter Festival, which marks the start of Christmas in Dundalk, will take place on Friday and Saturday November 22nd and 23rd.
This year’s Frostival event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
It will kick off with a spectacular Carnival of Light parade on the Friday evening. Santa will be in his grotto at Market Square and children are invited to visit to deliver their Christmas letters to him in person.
There will also be a Little Elves Fun Zone with lots of free fun for the little ones and the Frostival Express Train will be at the Market Square. THE popular Christmas Market hosted by The Crafty Rock will have lots of delicious food and bespoke handmade Irish gifts while Accidents in the Workplace are headlining this year’s music programme.
The Christmas lights in town will be switched on on the Friday evening, with MC Pat O’Shaughnessy from LMFM set to lead the celebrations of Louth’s female sports stars, including members of the triumphant Louth Ladies GAA team, paracyclist Eva McCrystal and athlete Patience Jumbo-Gula.
This year sees Cuchullain Credit Union come on board as sponsors, along with Louth County Council, the Long Walk Shopping Centre and Dundalk BIDS.
