Dry weekend in store but it will be cooler than it has been lately
It’s due to be a dry weekend with sunshine totals above average but it will be much cooler than it has been of late.
That’s the verdict of Louth Weather in their latest forecast for the next few days.
Louth Weather said: “After such a long period of weather dominated by low pressure, most people will welcome some settled conditions. The current low pushes east and is replaced by high pressure which should hang around for a week or so.
“THURSDAY – Patchy rain on and off this morning as a front pushes slowly south. This rain signals a change. It is the boundary between the mild air which we’ve had and cooler air pushing south. Highest temperatures this afternoon will be cooler than they were last night. Dry this afternoon with the cloud eventually breaking up. Light to moderate NE winds. Max 8°C. Dry and clear tonight, but much colder than recent nights with a widespread frost and the risk of ice.
“FRIDAY – A bright sunny day. Dry. Light northerly breeze. Much colder than of late at 6°C.
“SATURDAY – Dry. Quite cloudy but hopefully the sun will break through later. Moderate easterly wind. Max 8°C.
“SUNDAY – Dry. Mostly sunny. Light to moderate NW winds. Max 6°C.
“MONDAY to WEDNESDAY – Dry. Mostly cloudy. Moderate SW winds. Becoming milder.”
