Dundalk Famine Graveyard Association thank all who attended Service of Remembrance
Dundalk Famine Graveyard Association would like to thank all those who turned out for the Service of Remembrance at Dundalk Famine graveyard at Killally (A91 E76N) on Sunday.
They would also like to thank the parish priest and the priest from the Church of Ireland who officiated.
The association encourage people that haven’t visited the cemetery to visit it. This cemetery was opened in 1852 and closed in 1906 with the last burial being in 1906.
There are small white crosses placed around the cemetery marking graves.
Directions to cemetery are as follows: Head out the Ardee Road past St John of God’s and keep to the main road past St Oliver’s Shrine. Once you come to the V in the road the cemetery is down a lane to the left of the V. The cemetery is signposted at that V.
