Dundalk FC’s match with UCD next month postponed

Dundalk FC’s SSE Airtricity League match against UCD at Oriel Park on June 14th has been postponed due to international call-ups.

With the Students trio of Conor Kearns, Liam Scales and Neil Farrugia in Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland U21 squad for the Toulon Tournament, the fixture will now not proceed.

It is one of seven matches across the division which will not go ahead due to the Toulon Tournament.

The postponement means Dundalk will not play between their match away to Finn Harps on Saturday June 8th and their trip to Tallaght Stadium to face Shamrock Rovers on June 28th.

The full list of postponed matches is as follows:

  • May 31 – Derry City v UCD AFC
  • May 31 – Waterford v Shamrock Rovers
  • June 8 – UCD AFC v Bohemians
  • June 9 – Cork City v Waterford
  • June 14 – Derry City v Waterford
  • June 14 – Dundalk v UCD AFC

The FAI said new dates for the fixtures will be announced in due course.

Also, due to the fixture postponement of Waterford v Shamrock Rovers, RTE will now broadcast the St Patrick’s Athletic v Cork City clash at Richmond Park on Friday May 31 (kick-off 7.45pm) live on RTE2.
