Dundalk FC’s Stephen Kenny nominated for PFAI Manager of the Year award
Dundalk FC boss Stephen Kenny has been nominated for the PFAI Premier Division Manager of the Year award.
The Lilywhites manager won the award every year between 2013 and 2016 but missed out to Cork City’s John Caulfield last year.
This year he is up against Bohemian FC’s Keith Long and Alan Reynolds of Waterford FC for the prestigious honour, which is voted for by managers in the Premier Division.
The PFAI awards take place this Saturday night and Kenny’s inclusion means there is interest in every category.
Chris Shields, Michael Duffy and Pat Hoban are up for the PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year award while Jamie McGrath has been nominated for Young Player of the Year.
Six Dundalk players – Sean Gannon, Sean Hoare, Robbie Benson, Chris Shields, Michael Duffy and Pat Hoban – have also been named in the PFAI Premier Division Team of the Year while Georgie Kelly, a mid-season signing from UCD, is in the First Division Team of the Year and up for First Division Player of the Year.
