Dundalk Gaels plans for two new stands remain a possibility

Dundalk Gaels plans to build two new stands at their pitch on the Ramparts Road remain a possibility.

The local GAA club were given the go ahead by Louth County Council in June 2014 to build two new stands at Pairc na nGaeil – one on the east side of the pitch and the other on the west side.

This never occurred but now the club have been granted an extension of the planning permission, giving them a further five years to build the stands.

As part of the application they are also hoping to construct toilet facilities and a store on the west side, as well as a 2.4m high boundary wall on the west side of the ground.

It is hoped each stand will accommodate between 150-200 people.
