Dundalk house prices rebound slightly in February
The average price of a house in Dundalk rebounded slightly by 0.5% in February.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the mean house price in the town now stands at €211,033.
This was up from €209,940 in January but remained behind the figure of €212,216 for the year to December and the €213,635 recorded in the year to November.
Despite this prices were up €18,571 on February 2018 when the mean price of a house stood at €192,462. This represents a year on year increase of 9.6%.
While prices were up in Dundalk, they fell back yet again in Louth as a whole from €216,100 to €215,838.
This was slightly influenced by a decline in Drogheda where house prices fell from €246,347 to €245,608.
The median asking prices in all three years were unchanged. In Dundalk it remains at €209,975. Meanwhile in Drogheda it was unchanged at €245,000 while in Louth it remains €210,000.
