Dundalk house prices rise last month but are virtually unchanged year on year
The average price of a house in Dundalk increased by 0.3% in October but was virtually unchanged in price from 12 months ago.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the mean house price in the town now stands at €211,441, up from €210,910 in September.
The latest increased comes after two consecutive months of falls after prices reached a high of €212,104 for the year in July.
Prices were up just €247 on October 2018 when the mean price of a house stood at €211,194. This represents a year on year increase of 0.1%.
Meanwhile prices in Louth as a whole increased by 0.1% in October from €217,674 to €217,877
Prices in Drogheda were up 0.2% in October from €250,398 to €250,913.
The median asking price in Dundalk also fell from €205,000 to €200,000. Meanwhile in Drogheda it was up €3,500 to €248,500 while in Louth it was also down €5,000 to €205,000.
