Dundalk house prices suffer minor fall from highest point this year
The average price of a house in Dundalk fell back by less than 0.1% in August.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the mean house price in the town now stands at €211,919, down from €212,104 in July when the the highest price for the year to date was reached.
Prices are also up €5,102 on August 2018 when the mean price of a house stood at €206,817. This represents a year on year increase of 2.5%.
Meanwhile prices in Louth as a whole fell back by 0.5% in August from €219,891 to €218,900. The July figure for the county was also the highest prices have been this year.
Prices in Drogheda also fell back by 0.3% in August from €250,922 to €250,058.
The median asking price in Dundalk also fell from €208,738 to €207,000. Meanwhile in Drogheda it was down €2,500 to €245,000 while in Louth it was down €4,000 to €210,000.
