Dundalk house prices suffer minor fall in March
The average price of a house in Dundalk fell by just under 1.2% in March.
The latest Residential Property Price Index from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) shows that the mean house price in the town now stands at €208,597.
This was down from €211,033 in February.
Despite this prices were up €16,135 on March 2018 when the mean price of a house stood at €192,462. This represents a year on year increase of 8.4%.
Meanwhile prices in Louth as a whole also fell from €215,838 to €213,836.
This was slightly influenced by a small decline in Drogheda where house prices fell from €245,608 to €245,586.
The median asking price in Dundalk also fell from €209,975 to €205,000. Meanwhile in Drogheda it was unchanged at €245,000 while in Louth it fell from €210,000 to €207,750.
