Dundalk IT to hold inaugural Health Fair on Wednesday

The Student Health Unit at Dundalk IT will host its inaugural Health Fair this Wednesday.

The event takes place from 10.30am to 1.30pm and will coincide with the launch of the DkIT Sports and Societies Fit 4 Life programme.

On the day there will be a wide variety of health promotion organisations exhibiting with lots of hints and tips for our students on health and wellbeing.

This interactive event will take place on the link corridor to the Faulkner Building.

There will be a number of health promotion organisations exhibiting on the day. Other activities include:

  • Cookery Demonstrations – Find out what are the best nutritional and common sense tips for healthy eating for students!
  • Free Health Checks – Looking to kickstart your wellness programme? DkIT’s dedicated and experienced health promotion team will provide you with all the support and guidance you need.
  • Sign up! – DkIT are launching their Fit 4 Life programme for 2019 at the Sports and Societies office where you can register for the various programmes!
  • Smoke-Free Campus – DkIT also hope to designate the campus as a “smoke free zone” for the day.

The entire college community is welcome to attend, and we hope the event will be beneficial to all. Healthy Campus initiatives have the potential to influence the future health and wellbeing of the student and staff community.
