Dundalk musician pens song in support of Garrett Weldon’s election bid

There’s now less than 24 hours to go until the polling stations open for General Election 2016 and between now and tomorrow evening the various candidates will be doing all they can to convince people to give them their number one.

In that regard, local People Before Profit candidate Garrett Weldon received a boost yesterday when Dundalk musician Pete Johnson penned a song called ‘Don’t Get Angry, Get Active” and performed it on his Facebook page asking people to support the Louth Village man by voting Weldon Number One.

Johnson had already pledged his support for Weldon by performing at a fundraiser for the 44-year-old in Eoin’s Bar in Clanbrassil Street next weekend.
