Dundalk Simon Community issue appeal for donations of water and sun cream
Dundalk Simon Community have issued an appeal for donations of water and sun cream.
The recent heatwave has meant that many living on our streets are exposed to the high temperatures resulting in sunburn and dehydration.
Taking to social media for their appeal, Dundalk Simon Community said: “With no end to this heatwave in sight, we are more than happy to accept any donations of water and/or sun cream here at Dundalk Simon Community.
“This weather is almost as lethal to the homeless as the cold so please consider us if you have any water/sun cream to spare.
“We would be grateful for any donations.”
According to the most recent figures from the Department of Housing, there were 111 people homeless in Co Louth in May.
