Dundalk Student Village the biggest sale of 2017 locally as transactions rise 9.3%
The sale of Dundalk Student Village for €2.3 million was the biggest property transaction of last year in Co Louth.
Figures from the Property Price Register show that the development of 40 purpose build student apartments sold for the huge sum last October.
The sale was overseen by Dundalk-based estate agents DNG Duffy.
The largest residential sale in the county was that of Roxbury House in Cartown, Termonfeckin, which sold for €1.3 million in May.
There were three other sales for €1 million-plus.
These include the sale of Sandymount House in Blackrock for €1.225m in July, the sale of Poppy Lodge in The Square, Blackrock for €1.15m in May and Rathbrist House in Tallanstown for €1.14m in September.
In total there were 1,356 sales in Co Louth last year, up 9.3% from 1,241 transactions in 2016.
