Extension to Niall Clarke Oils held up by appeal from owner

Extension to Niall Clarke Oils held up by appeal from owner

An extension planned for the Circle K Service Station is set to be held up by a planning appeal lodged by the owners.

Last month Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission to Niall Clarke Oils on the Dublin Road to proceed with plans for a sit down area at the filling station with student accommodation overhead.

An appeal against some of the conditions that have been set out has now been lodged to An Bord Pleanála by Niall Clarke Oils against some of those conditions.

The plans are to partly demolish the existing store to build a ground floor extension measuring 114sqm to the existing shop. This will be used as a sit down deli, food preparation and storage area.

They also plan to change part of the existing first floor area from commercial storage to student accommodation. This would comprise of five bedrooms with a communal kitchen/living area and ancillary facilities.
