Five star Dundalk stay on top with Bray victory

Dundalk FC ran out easy 5-0 winners over bottom club Bray Wanderers at Oriel Park last night to preserve their lead at the top of the table.

Pat Hoban opened the scoring on 13 minutes before Dylan Connolly doubled their lead two minutes later.

Jamie McGrath then made it 3-0 on 39 minutes when he finished off a rebound after Evan Moran could only parry Michael Duffy’s shot.

Hoban added his second and his side’s fourth with a header from a Dean Jarvis cross on 61 minutes before his replacement Marco Tagbajumi completed the scoring with the fifth on 76 minutes.

There was a lengthy delay at the end after Bray’s Andrew McGovern appeared to suffer an unfortunate leg break following a collision with a team-mate.

Next up for Dundalk is a trip to Tallaght to face Shamrock Rovers on Friday.
