Four from Dundalk FC nominated for Personality of the Year award
Dundalk FC have dominated the nominations for the SSE Airtricity/SWAI Personality of the Year award.
Four members of the double winning side have been put forwarded for the coveted award, which is presented each January.
Among those in contention is Stephen Kenny, who stepped down as manager last month to become Ireland Under-21 boss, before succeeding Mick McCarthy with the senior team in 2020.
Kenny previously received the award in 2016 when the Lilywhites won the league and also reached the group stages of the Europa League.
Also in the frame are three Dundalk players, the league’s top scorer Pat Hoban, PFAI Player of the Year Michael Duffy and midfielder Chris Shields.
Also nominated for the award are Bohemian FC manager Keith Long and UCD manager Collie O’Neill.
Gary Rogers, who kept 29 clean sheets in all competitions last season, is also up for the Goalkeeper of the Year award alongside Shane Supple of Bohs and Mark McNulty of Cork City.
