Gardaí investigating break-in to Blackrock school
Gardaí are investigating a break-in to Oliver Plunkett National School in Blackrock last week.
The incident occurred around 9.30pm on Tuesday December 1st with Gardaí anxious to speak to anyone who spotted anything suspicious in the Sandy Lane area from 9pm onwards.
Three manhole covers were lifted and phone lines cut prior to the break-in in an attempt to disable the school’s alarm system but it did go off.
As well as cutting lines to the school, those responsible also left nearby residents without phone connection as a result of their actions.
Gardaí estimate that the cutting of the power lines at three different manhole locations would have taken some time and are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone at them or posing as workmen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Blackrock Garda Station on 042 9322194.
