Gin to be distilled at Great Northern Brewery in Dundalk
It appears gin will be distilled very soon in Dundalk.
The Great Northern Distillery have been showing off their new gin still which is getting ready to be transported to the Carrick Road facility, which was formerly the Harp Lager/Great Northern Brewery site.
Since being set up by John Teeling in June 2015, the Great Northern Distillery has been known for its whiskey distillery, which it has supplied in bulk for the Irish and overseas markets.
Last year they also released their first retail product called Burke’s Irish Whiskey, a 14 year old single malt bottled at cask strength.
Now, according to their social media posts “a whole new chapter (is set) to begin” with a gin still shortly to be installed.
