Go ahead given for three new homes on Ardee Lane

The go ahead has been given for three new homes on Ardee Lane, off the Ardee Road in Dundalk.

Knockbridge-based Fine Living Ltd submitted a planning application to Louth County Council seeking permission to construct a terrace of three dwelling houses, six car parking spaces and all associated site works in an area which is located within the cartilage of a protected structure last May.

Significant further information was requested, which was submitted in December, with the local authority granting conditional planning permission this week.

This is the latest in a series of applications to build here. In 2017 Louth County Council rejected a bid by Bernie Muckian and Lesley O’Keefe for three houses on Ardee Lane. Dundalk Baptist Church had objected to the proposed plans at the time.

In February 2010, permission for three houses at Ardee Lane was turned down by An Bord Pleanála despite their own inspector recommending that it be granted.
