Hackballscross to Martin’s Cross route added to council’s gritting routes
Louth County Council have added 24.3km of additional roads to its new winter gritting routes.
Amongst the roads which will now be gritted from January 30th onwards include the N53 Hackballscross to N52 Martin’s Cross route. This takes in the 5.42km route from the N53 at Hackballscross to Mullaboy Cross (Stonetrough), the 1.71km from Mullaboy Cross (Stonetrough) to Knockbridge and the 3.04km from Knockbridge via Stephenstown Pond to the N52 at Martin’s Cross.
The new routes were added following representations from elected representatives.
Other routes added include the 7.81km stretch from Termonfeckin to Pope’s Cross, a 3.86km stretch of road at Tenure and 2.46km in Tullyallen.
