Homeless figures in Louth soar to highest level this year in April

There were 163 people registered as homeless in Co Louth at the end of April.

That’s according to the latest Homelessness Report from the Department of Housing, Planning & Local Government for the period from April 22nd to 28th.

This was up seven people from March, putting the figure at its highest level this year.

This was also up significantly from 124 people who were declared homeless in the county in April 2018. This represented an increase of 31.5%.

Nationally there were 6,584 adults registered as homeless at the end of April as well as 3,794 dependents.
