Irene White murder accused to face trial next week
The trial of a man accused of the murder of Irene White in Dundalk in April 2005 will begin on Monday.
The Argus reports today that the trial of Anthony Lambe of Annadrumman, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan will begin in the Central Criminal Court next week.
He is accused of the murder of mother of three Irene at her home at Ice House on the Demesne Road in Dundalk on April 6th 2005.
The 35-year-old student was arrested on January 20th last year in Castleblayney and appeared before Dundalk District Court the next day where he was charged with the then 43-year-old’s murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court a week later where he was further remanded in custody before being released on bail last March.
The trial was then sent forward to the Central Criminal Court in April last year with the case now due to commence next week.
