Mattock Rangers/Hunterstown Rovers/Glen Emmets combination clinch Louth U-21 title

The Mattock Rangers/Hunterstown Rovers/Glen Emmets combination yesterday secured the Louth U-21 Championship title with a comfortable 0-15 to 0-6 win over Naomh Fionnbarra/O’Connells in Darver.

County players Ryan Burns (4) and Conor Grimes (2) were both prominent amongst the scorers as the eventual winners raced into a 0-9 to 0-2 lead at te break.

Despite a rally from the Togher and Castlebellingham men early in the second half, the men from South Louth had enough to see the game out to run out comfortable nine points winners in the end.
