Maytime Serenade Concert in aid of Rape Crisis North East to take place this May
A Maytime Serenade Concert in aid of Rape Crisis North East has been planned for this May.
The event at An Táin Arts Centre at the Town Hall will take place on Saturday May 11th.
Heading an impressive line-up on the night is local tenor David Martin. The show will also feature baritone Jackie Winkless and soprano Niamh McCormack, accompanied by Jillian Saunders on piano and Maria Mason on violin/solist.
This promises to be an entertaining night of music and song serenading you through the years of musicals, opera and operetta. Favourites like Showboat, My Fair Lady, Les Misérables, Chess, La Bohème, Rigoletto and many more popular and well-known classics will be performed.
Proceeds on the night will go towards Rape Crisis North East. Rape Crisis North East Centre is located in Dundalk, Drogheda and Castleblayney, serving the North East Region of Ireland – Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan and surrounding areas. They are a counselling and support service for survivors of rape and sexual abuse and support boys and girls from the age of 12 to the very elderly, both male and female.
Doors on the night open at 7pm for a reception and canapes with the event starting at 8pm.
