Mixed week of weather on the horizon
It’s due to be another mixed week on the local weather front with still no sign of a prolonged spell decent summer weather on the horizon.
That’s the verdict of Louth Weather in their latest forecast for the week ahead.
The local forecaster predicts some sunny days coupled with rainy spells as the unpredictable weather continues.
The forecast reads: “BACKGROUND: Another week with no dominant airmasses in control, however The Atlantic influence and the jetstream are never far away. So it’s more middle-of-the-road weather, with some decent days, but nothing too exciting good or bad.
:MONDAY: Dry. Cloudy this morning. The sun will break through during the afternoon and evening and where it stays shining for any reasonable period of time, it will become very warm with 24°C, even 25°C possible. Fresh SW winds easing slightly later on.
“TUESDAY: Cloudy to begin but turning much sunnier as the day progresses. Dry. Moderate, occasionally fresh SE winds. Max 21°C.
“WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy but dry. Moderate southerly winds. Max 21°C.
“THURSDAY: A mix of sunny spells and cloud. Quite windy with a fresh SE wind. Mostly dry, but some showers likely during the afternoon.
“FRIDAY: Similar to Thursday, with the showers likely to be a bit heavier and more frequent.
“THE WEEKEND: Early indications suggest a continuation of the sunny spell /showery mix. Slightly cooler at about 18°C.
“FURTHER OUTLOOK: As has been the case for the past few months, unfortunately I’m still not seeing any hints of a decent run of proper summer weather.”
