New café to open in unit vacated by Jackie’s within the next fortnight

A new café is set to open in the premises vacated by Jackie’s Café at Eimear Court on the Market Square in the coming fortnight.

Jackie’s announced on Wednesday that it was to close its doors after nine years in the town centre.

A post on their Facebook page read: “To all our valued customers, Jackie’s Cafe has shut its doors after nine great years as we focus on our life with our family and kids.

“Thank you for your patronage, your friendliness and your friendship that made us such a success. We will miss you all.”

It has now emerged that a new café called ‘The Usual Place 4U’ will open in the unit in approximately to weeks following a refurbishment.

Sharon Wieland of the new venture told Talk of the Town: “We hope to serve you with the same quality that you are used to from Jackie’s and look forward to to welcoming you to our opening.”
