Number of patients on trolleys in Lourdes Hospital up almost 12%
The number of patients on trolleys in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda last month was up almost 12% on the year before.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation’s Trolley Watch Analysis show there were 229 patients on trolleys in the main local hospital last month.
This was up 11.7% from 205 in the same month last year and is now at its highest level since it stood at 474 in March 2016.
The number of patients on trolleys in Irish hospitals hit a year-high figure of 631 last week.
