Peter Mark duo receive long service awards
Two stylists at Peter Mark in the Marshes Shopping Centre have been honoured for their long-standing service to the company at the The Peter Mark Long Service Awards which took place recently at The Westin Hotel, Dublin.
The awards recognised employees from salons across the island of Ireland who have worked at Peter Mark for 10 years or more.
June Marrow (above right) has 30 years service while Julie McGuinness (above left) has 21 years service. Both women joined the company’s salon in the Dundalk Shopping Centre as trainees and are now popular senior stylists in the salon in The Marshes Shopping Centre.
June worked as manager of the company’s Belfast salon for a number of years while Julie was manager of the Drogheda salon for many years.
Emma Fitzpatrick, manager of the Dundalk salon paid tribute to the two employees, noting that they were among a number of staff who have been honoured with long service awards.
Collectively the 75 people honoured by Peter Mark at the awards have over 1,400 years of experience in the hairdressing industry ranging from stylists to support staff. That equates to over 2.8 million hours of blow-dying, cutting and colouring hair!
