Plans for 31 new homes off Dublin Road remain a possibility
Plans for 31 new homes on the Dublin Road in Dundalk remain a possibility.
Torca Homes have lodged a planning application with Louth County Council seeking an extension to the planning permission first given the go ahead for the development in December 2008 and later further extended in 2013.
They are seeking to demolish the former James Murphy & Sons (Dundalk) warehouse either side of Muirhevna and Glenwood. In its place they plan to build 31 residential dwellings comprising 14 duplex style units (seven 2 bed apartments and seven 3 bed maisonettes) and 17 townhouses (11 3 beds and six 4 beds).
The plans also include a proposal for 62 surface car parking spaces, bicycle stands, bin stores, internal roads with vehicular access onto the Dublin Road via Glenwood and with bicycle and pedestrian access onto the Dublin Road.
A decision on the bid for an extension will be made by June 10th.
