Plans for nine new houses in Blackrock rejected
Plans for nine new houses in Blackrock have been rejected by Louth County Council.
Last October local businessman Colin Fee submitted a planning application to the local authority seeking outline permission for the nine new houses at South End.
The application was for nine new dwelling houses and all associated site works and planning permission for site development works associated with the new houses.
This has now been refused permission by the council after a series of objections from local residents, many of which concerned the possibility of flood risk.
A previous application on the site was refused by An Bord Pleanála in 2016 due to the fact “that the site is located within the proximity of Dundalk Bay and is in an area at risk of tidal flooding particularly at high tides when accompanied by North East, East or South East gales.”
