Public meeting on New People’s Movement in Dundalk on Monday
Meath West TD Peadar Toibín will host a public meeting in the Imperial Hotel in Dundalk on Monday evening.
The event, which gets underway at 7.30pm, follows on from similar meetings across the country to discuss his new party, the New People’s Movement.
The topic of the meeting is “Groupthink in the Dáil? Or a new people’s movement”.
After quitting Sinn Féin last year after being suspended from the party for six months after voting against the abortion legislation in the Dáil, Deputy Toibín is in the process of building a new political movement focused on the issues of economic justice and Irish unity.
The meeting hopes to attract those who are dissatisfied with the current political status quo and seek fresh change.
All are welcome to attend.
