Rents in Louth continue to increase
Rents in Co Louth have risen by 3.6% in the last year.
That’s according to the latest Daft.ie Rental Report.
The report shows that the average rent in Louth now stands at €1,236, up €43 on the same stage last year when the average rent stood at €1,193.
Rents are also €271 more expensive than where they stood at the height of the boom, an increase of 28.1%.
The average rent in the county has now more than doubled from its lowest point with the latest quarterly increase of 0.6% meaning rental costs in the county are now 102.5% dearer than they were at their lowest point.
The biggest increase in rents in the past year have been in relation to one bed apartments which are up 6.7% to €900. This was followed by two bed houses which have risen by 5.2% to an average of €1,029. Three and four bed houses both recorded increases of 4.5% and 3.4% to stand at €1,196 and €1,302 respectively while five beds were up just 0.3% to €1,389.
