Rents in Louth up 13.4% in the last year
The average price of a rental property in Louth now stands at €1,161.
That’s according to the latest Daft.ie rental price report, released today.
The report shows that rents in the Wee County have risen by 13.4% in the last 12 months from €1,024 this time last year. This was the largest increase recorded by any county although Limerick, Galway and Waterford cities all recorded larger rises along with north city, city centre and west county Dublin.
This has left the cost of renting a property in the county at a record level with no sign of a slow down after a 3.6% increase in the last quarter.
Rents in Louth have now risen by a massive 90.2% from their lowest point.
The largest increase in prices has been in relation to 5 bed houses which are up 16.8% year-on-year to an average of €1,368. Meanwhile the price of a one bed apartment and two bed house have both risen by 14% in the last 12 months to an average of €835 and €968 respectively.
Three bed houses were up 10.4% to €1,133 while four beds were up 11.8% to €1,248.
