Seven Dundalk businesses nominated for Irish Hair and Beauty Awards

Seven Dundalk businesses have been nominated for various awards at the forthcoming Irish Hair and Beauty Awards 2017.

New Faces Beauty Clinic in Dublin Street and Exhale Essential Therapies on the Newry Road have both been shortlisted in the borders section of the Beauty Salon of the Year award while 1501 at the Long Walk and Justin Casey Salon in Park Street have been nominated in the same section for Hair Salon of the Year.

Tres Belle Hair Design at Felda and The Hair Shop at Williamson’s Mall have also been shortlisted for the Customer Service of the Year award in the borders section while Felda Health Fitness and Spa is up for Spa of the Year in the Northern section.

The only local up for a personal award is Ciara Casey of Justin Casey Salon in Park Street. She is nominated for Masseuse of the Year.

Both New Faces and Exhale will face competition from The Beauty House in Bridgend, Co Donegal, Touch & Glow Beauty Clinic and Sparkle Beauty Clinic in Carrickmacross, Aileen’s Beauty Suite in Monaghan, Bluebells in Ballybay, Good To Go in Castleblayney and Jackie G Brows in Ardee.

Justin Casey Salon in Park Street

Meanwhile, 1501 and Justin Casey Salon are in a section that includes Kingscourt pair Serenity Hair and Beauty and Creative Edge Hair Studio, Envy Hair Studio and Main Attraction Hair Studio in Ardee, Swissh Hair in Ballyjamesduff, Love Hair and You’re Beautiful in Monaghan and Unique Hairdesign in Carrickmacross.

Rivalling Tres Belle and The Hair Shop for the Customer Service of the Year award are The Hair Lounge, Studio Eighty Nine and DG Hair Design in Monaghan, Angel Hair & Beauty in Mountcharles, Rossano’s Hair Design in Ballyshannon and the Letterkenny-based trio of Pello Hair Color Design, Patrick Gildea Hairdressing and Academy Hair and Beauty.

Competing with Felda for Spa of the Year are Chill Spa at the Ice House Hotel in Ballina, ESPA at the G Hotel in Galway, The Tethra Spa at The Merrion in Dublin, and Next Door Spa in Dublin.

Ardee’s Celtic Beauty has also been nominated for Outstanding Business of the Year in the Beauty Salon section while Crossmaglen’s Couture Freelance Styling is up for Freelance Hair Specialist of the Year.

The awards take place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin on Sunday September 3rd with the full list of finalists available to view here.
