Three bottles of Great Northern Distillery’s First Born to be auctioned off in aid of Zoe Murphy Appeal
The Great Northern Distillery are set to auction off three very special bottles of their First Born whiskey in aid of the Zoe Murphy Appeal.
The three bottles will be sold at Irish Whiskey Auctions over Christmas. Bidding opens on December 21st on www.irishwhiskeyauctions.ie and closes on December 30th.
The three bottles of First Born (single malt, blended and single grain) were donated by staff and management at the Great Northern Distillery and are all personally signed by John Teeling himself.
This is the first ever whiskey from the distillery and these bottles from the first casks laid down will never be for sale and are only available at December’s auction.
Zoe is a two year old girl from Dundalk who was born with a PVL brain injury, resulting in being diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy at the age of 20 months. Having been expected to spend the majority of her life in a wheelchair, Zoe has shown signs of improvement in her condition in recent months after trying medical CBD oil.
Now walking with a frame and sitting unaided, it is hoped that Zoe can undergo life changing surgery in America to remove the spasticity in her body to allow her to walk. Unfrotunately this comes at a cost of $100,000 with fundraising ongoing from earlier this year.
