Two Dundalk FC fixtures amongst first four televised games to be announced

Two Dundalk FC matches are amongst four games which are set to be televised by RTÉ in the early weeks of the season.

Friday night’s league opener against Sligo Rovers at Oriel Park will be screened live on RTÉ Two at 7.45pm.

The national broadcaster will also show the home match against last year’s runners-up Cork City on March 29th.

Other fixtures announced by RTÉ for TV coverage today include Cork City v Shamrock Rovers on April 5th and Derry City v Shamrock Rovers on April 19th.

The league was launched at the Aviva Stadium earlier today with increased TV coverage announced, including 18 live games on RTÉ and a minimum of 15 on eirSport.

A new competition was also announced which will see this season’s SSE Airtricity League Premier Division winners face the NIFL Premiership champions over two legs in November.
