Wild Youth to appear in The Spirit Store this November
Wild Youth have announced a gig at The Spirit Store in Dundalk for the end of next month.
The band, who have supported The Script and The Coronas on tour in the past, will be performing at The George’s Quay venue on Thursday November 29th.
Tickets, priced €15, will go on sale this Thursday morning at 9am from www.spiritstore.ie and McAteer’s The Food House on Clanbrassil Street.
In 2017, Wild Youth emerged with “All or Nothing”, which amassed over half a million Spotify streams and held the number one spot for two weeks. Their second single, “Lose Control”, received heavy rotation on radio stations and led to sold out headline shows in Dublin and London. They soon found themselves invited to support artists such as Niall Horan, The Script, and Zara Larsson on arena sized shows, and drawing huge crowds to their festival slots across Ireland and the UK.
With influences ranging from Imagine Dragons, to The XX, The Script, and The 1975, the four-piece play a melodic brand of pop-rock with electronic touches.
The four-piece were formed after songwriter and keyboardist Conor O’Donohoe was laid up for a long period of rehabilitation after a freak accident.
He turned to playing guitar to pass the time and began to shift his focus from college and sports to composing songs in his shed with childhood best friend and singer Dave Whelan.
Joined by guitarist Edward Porter and drummer Callum McAdam, the foursome locked themselves away for a year writing new songs and developing their sound.
