Yes camp accuses No side of defacing posters in Dundalk
Tensions are continuing to mount between the Yes and No camps ahead of the referendum on the Eighth Amendment on Friday week, May 25th.
A local man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has hit out at the No camp for “defacing signs” in and around Dundalk.
What it amounts to is ‘Vote No’ stickers being placed on Yes posters, with various examples sent in such as the one above on the Newry Road.
He said: “I snapped this picture this morning of the Newry Road. It shows one side of the campaign defacing opposition signs with stickers, but also traffic markings and road signs that I wasn’t able to get a picture of.
“The traffic marking is at the junction of Racecourse Road and Newry Road and the road sign is at the old Newry bridge heading into town.”
